Handelman

As a creative, I value community, diversity, and change.

My opportunities have allowed me to work with so many different people and groups, inspiring me to work for others as well as myself.

I am excited to discover what types of art I will continue to develop in the next stages of my life.

I am an 18-year-old musician, researcher, and student, and an aspiring emergency care physician.

Through everything I do, I aim to create, experience, and grow. As a student, I value experimentation for the sake of discovery. I welcome discomfort in pursuit of a new skill, or frustration in pursuit of a new understanding.

My Work

Research

During my junior year, I studied hormonal relationships between menopause and thyroid disease, motivated to diversify women’s endocrine education. Read this page to learn more.

Performance Arts

I am involved in many fine arts groups, one being the Johns Hopkins Peabody Children’s Chorus. At River Hill, I am in the Wind Ensemble Band for French horn, and a dancer for the Poms Team, Senior Dance Company, and the Blue Room Breakdance Club.

Photography

Wherever I go, I bring my Canon sx740 HS. I love on-the-go photography, so I put together my favorites.

Graphic Design

At the end of my freshman year, I volunteered to take over the River Hill Band’s Instagram page. It has allowed me to practice graphic design, and after three years, I have grown a portfolio.
